Analysis On Learning Performances Of Primary School Students In Yao Ethninc Group Regions Of Guangxi

Due to the historical, natural and social and other reasons, education in China varies from places to places. Education in ethnic group areas are lagged behind, especially for primary school students. Governments at all levels and educators in ethnic group regions should pay great attention to improve education and students'learning performances in ethnic group regions.There is college students in every village in Gongcheng Yao Autonomous County located in mountain. In 90s of the 20th century, students from the Yao Autonomous County of Gongcheng accounted for 70% of Yao ethnic group students respectively in Beijing University and Tsinghua University, which is praised as"a miracle in the history of national education"by the Central People's Broadcasting Station and China Central Television. How do the Yao people in Gongcheng create the"miracle"? Is it meaningful for national education in other ethnic group regions? Adopting methods of educational anthropology, the author conduct fieldwork research on Zhongxin primary school in Sanjiang Township of Gongcheng County, and make Analysis on learning performances of primary school students. With a case study, the author tries to figure out learning performances of primary school students in Gongcheng County, in order to find out the learning performances of primary school students in the Yao ethnic groups of Guangxi.The thesis is divided into 5 parts. The first part is prolegomenon, in which the author illustrate why he conducts the research, current progress and results on the such research at home and aboard, methods that he adopt, and theories that he apply for analyzing various problems. The second part is overview on fieldwork places. The third part is a brief introduction to learning performances of Zhongxin primary school in Sanjiang Township. The forth part is about analysis on factors that affects learning performances. The last part is about policies put forward to improve the achievement of primary school students in the Yao ethnic groups regions.
