Objective:To use questionnaire survey to measure the learning motivation level of middle school students in towns and villages,and to understand and analyze their characteristics.According to the characteristics of students,a group counseling program was designed to stimulate the motivation of some middle school students with low learning motivation level and improve their motivation.Methods:Firstly,a questionnaire survey was conducted among students from grade 7 to grade 9 of a township middle school in Suining County,Shaoyang City,using the Learning Motivation Diagnostic Test(MAAT)to understand the current situation of junior high school students' motivation.Then,according to the concept of learning motivation and group psychological counseling theory,the group counseling program of learning motivation was formulated,and 30 students with lower motivation were selected as the subjects,which were divided into experimental group,control group,and control group.There was no difference in the motivations of the three groups of participants.The experimental group conducted a weekly group counseling on learning motivation.The control group was given a weekly group counseling without learning motivation.Control group 2 did not perform any treatment.After eight weeks,the level of learning motivation was post-tested to test the effect of group counseling activities on learning motivation.Results:(1)Through the test,it is found that the level of learning motivation of middle school students is compared with the norm of nearly 20 years ago,except for the knowledge learning scene located at the lower level of the general level,and the other three are located at the upper level of the weaker level;There was no significant difference in the dimensions of learning motivation between the experimental group,the control group and the control group.After the intervention,the post-test was compared and compared.The experimental group had significant differences in the knowledge learning scenes and skill scenes,and it existed in promoting tension.Significant differences,and the scores of learning motivation and scores of each dimension were significantly higher than the two control groups,while the other two control groups did not have significant differences in learning motivation levels.Conclusions:(1)The scores of successful motivational dimensions of the experimental group participating in the learning motivation group counseling were significantly improved.(2)The group counseling of learning motivation designed in this study can improve the learning motivation level of township middle schools.The follow-up survey shows that the influence of group counseling has a sustained effect.
