Basic education of ethnic minority areas in China is extremely important problem, but also the realistic problem in China's current education system in a weak links. As an important part of national education in minority regions in China, and the music of the curriculum reform is more complicated: neither shall state the mainstream music culture spread, and inheriting the national music culture, not only need by the national curriculum reform for the center, while the mainstream culture with minority students of regional culture and national culture. Due to the minority areas are often influenced by religious beliefs, costumes, cultural and linguistic differences, geographical environment and economic factors, therefore, local music education with more complexity and difficulty than other areas. Standing in the aesthetic education and multicultural education position ,this essay elaborates on the primary music education in XiaHe county of the Gan Nan Tibetan autonomous region, Points out the existing problems and difficulties, and brings forward the corresponding countermeasures and Suggestions.The article is divided into three parts:Introduction: this section discusses the origin of this research, expounds the meaning and purpose of this research is introduced, the research status quo. The theoretical basis of the research methods and the combination of the thesis: this study the actual content of theoretical basis, aesthetic education theory and multicultural education theory, this paper puts forward the research methods and research process.The first chapter are investigation and analysis of the present music education at schools in Xia He county, summarized the characteristics of music teaching, teachers and teaching facilities, with the questionnaire, statistics and analysis of music teaching and the new curriculum reform, moreover, the language barrier that the dilemma of local teaching.The second part is the reflection and Suggestions for the music education at schools in XiaHe. Think local music education is facing a good development opportunities, but the smooth implementation of the new curriculum, the education aid should base upon the reality, pay attention to benefit. It is imminent to add full-time music teacher; the music teachers must consciously overcome the negative effects of examination-oriented education; strengthen the teacher training, strengthen exchanges and cooperation; According to the national character, and improve teaching methods.
