Research On The Design And Implementation Of Web-based Collaborative Learning Activities Based On Google Services

With the rapid development of Web2.0 and social software, this thesiscombinated practical application of Google services(Google products or Google tools)and collaborative learning, to explore web based collaborative learning(WebCL)activities design and implementation of the basic law and problems.Based on activitytheory and collaborative learning theory, this thesis explored the integration ofGoogle services to the application of practice and proposed designstrategy,technology approach and the case of design for WebCL activitis based onGoogle services.In the background of the rapid development of Web2.0 and social software, aswell as the practical application of Google services(A.K.A. Google products or Googletools), this thesis explores the basic rules and problems of the activity designand implementation of web-based collaborative learning (WebCL). By exploratorypractice on the integration of Google services and under the guidance of activitytheory and collaborative learning theory, some strategies, technology approachesand cases of the design for WebCL activities based on Google services are raisedto guide the effective WebCL activities.At the same time, for theoretical research this thesis investigated WebCLactivities and the implementation status of the case based on Google services, theresearch is meaningful and value. The main contents of dissertation are includedas follows:Also, investigations and case implementations have been carried out to lay asound foundation of the research, which could be of great significance and researchvalue. The contents of this study mainly includes:(1)The development and characteristics of Google services and WebCL activitiesdesign and implementation: Based on the premise of collaborative learning, WebCLenvironment and the concept of learning activities, this thesis recalled theapplication of Google services, the network platform to build collaborative learning,WebCL activities design and implementation of progress on the collaborative learning,learning activities, Web environment and Google services relations, as defined inGoogle services for WebCL.(2) This research applies Google services into WebCL activities. Besides, itintroduces the Google services and the linkages between the various Google services, the functions,methods and roles of Google services used in WebCL activities, aswell as the environment building of WebCL activities applied with Google services.(3)Recalling the process of WebCL activities and strategies for the design,this thesis proposed two kinds of WebCL approaches and strategies for the designbased on Google services: one is Google services majored WebCL methods, and the otheris Google services assisted WebCL methods; Strategies for the design of WebCLactivities based on Google services and the cases of design have been raised.(4)Moreover, the research investigated the implementation of WebCL activitiesbased on Google services, tracked specific cases, and studied the implementationcases of WebCL activities based on Google services. Achievements of the activitiesare concerned, which could be reference for others to further research.
