Study On Using Collaborative Learning Model By The Google Earth For Geography Education

With the network era coming and the rapid development of social software, create a virtual reality teaching context has gradually become an important part for effective learning, collaborative learning based on virtual teaching context also plays its own advantages. The advantages of traditional teaching mode of collaborative learning ability is not obvious, to reform teaching model, has been the general consensus of whole community and our educators. Collaborative learning education is a new teaching way which aims to cultivate the mutual ability and collaborative spirit of the learners. Now educators are paying more attention to it and giving more attempts.In this paper, the definition and feature of collaborative learning was studied, as well as the basic theories for it. The using of collaborative learning education in teaching was analyzed. The Google earth software and its feature was showed, and its research and application was summarized. Based on this researches, the thesis has come to some conclusions.In this paper, relying on Google earth, creating a collaborative learning, with high sense of immersion in virtual Google earth, there-dimensional, visual and interactive teaching situation to promote the teaching. This is also the innovation of this paper.
