| China as a developing country, with economic and social development, studying the foreign advanced experience of distance education will play an important role and significance for improving our quality of distance education. How according to the China's actual situation in the humanities to understand our country's long-distance education in order to promote the development of distance education? The author believes that culture is an important perspective of researching the education question. Between culture and education is an interdependent relationship. Cultural heritage cannot be separated from the role of education, and the development of education depends on its geographical and cultural background. As an educational form, the distance education cannot be separated from the evolution of the development of a specific cultural background. This particular cultural context restricts and affects the values of distance education, educational content, and management system.Using the cultural perspective, how to select the appropriate entry point in order to explain this article to set out the problem. Authors believe that the patterns of behavior are bound to reflect the value of the corresponding standards, codes of the relationship in the value system with the change. Function of cultural values through behavior patterns have become criteria for judging the main subject. This reflects a tendentious manner that the cultural values have shaped the pursuit, evaluation, choice of value. Named, a person uses what kind of attitude towards social values and self-worth, and makes a choice. This understanding of the cultural values in this article is the cultural perspective of the micro-foundation for analysis.This paper depends the British culture as foothold for the study, uses to the values of British culture as the breakthrough point, through the literature search and interviews to collect the relevant data, through the content analysis and comparative law to explore the impact of British culture to British distance education, and comparison with China's traditional culture on the impact of distance education. The research results show that:First, as an educational form, the distance education cannot be separated from the evolution of the development of a specific cultural background. The British cultural values of individualism, liberalism, rational spirit considered three levels of English culture on the United Kingdom which impact the British distance education, is conducive to this compared studying about Chinese traditional culture's impact on distance education to the United Kingdom.Third, out of our country's long-distance education to look at distance education in China will be conducive to more in-depth research and to solve the existing problems in distance education. Authors comparatively analyzed the four issues which the distance education in our country needs to take to be resolved from the status quo of China's long-distance education, and from the perspective of cultural values.Fourth, in the Enlightenment, we should take care of learner s cultural characteristics and provide long-distance education context which individual is satisfied with; we should set up a service system with high agility and scientific reasoning; we should realize full service for students. At the same time, the education curriculum development and student support services should be focused as two aspects of reform. This paper proposes to achieve from the academic education and textbooks to value orientation changes based the Theory of Multiple Intelligences.Based on the above understanding, the article s structure based on the theory of related research, on the analysis of English culture, English distance education, British culture of the United Kingdom impacting to distance education, and compare to China s traditional culture impacting to China's distance education, and furthermore draw more important points to inspiration. |
