This paper states some points which exist in current teaching of Senior Chinese Reading in the survey of some of senior students'reading situation, and the analysis of the role of teachers in the class of reading teaching and activity current situation. In the process of reading teaching in Senior Chinese, there are some shortages, for example, most students ignore reading texts, the mode of education is out-of-date, the form of"teacher responsible for the lecture, students responsible for listening"takes the main stream, the consistency of comprehension in reading is overemphasized, examination is valued and the real requirements and feelings of students are ignored, the form of estimation which usually without words seems single. Also, some teachers mistaken reading texts, ignore the specific meaning of the text, some even become onlookers of the reading classes by leaving students to themselves completely and seeking absolute freedom of education. All these make the current situation that the efficiency of education becomes lower in Senior Chinese, students benefit little from classes and the development of individuality of reading is limited. Author supposes that it is necessary to carry out the strategy of the education of individual reading in Senior Chinese.By reading, author selected related materials in and out, consulted related study results and learnt experts'expositions and with multiple verifications, author tried to expound the teaching of individual reading and its traits objectively. Based on the reading theories on reading in some western countries, such as humanism theory, reception aesthetics, multiple intelligences theory, constructivist learning theory, it puts forward some viewpoints in the light of the target requirements and the requirements of students'healthy development and the enlightenment of education teaching practice in Senior Chinese Reading. Author tried to prove that it is feasible to practice the teaching of individual reading in the process of Senior Chinese Reading, so as to lay a good foundation for the development of the students'individuality and the lifelong learning.In the process of the practice of the teaching of individual reading, author looked up some related materials, explored some teaching strategies and studied the relationship among the subject (students), teachers and texts in the process of teaching in detail to confirm the students'subject status in reading teaching and to clear the irreplaceability of reading actions, together with teaching practice, author puts forward the teaching strategies and evaluation mechanism in which conversations stand in the main position in the teaching of individual reading and at the same time follows the principle of human-oriented. Author hopes to make this thesis deeply expounds the teaching of individual reading in Senior Chinese through teaching practice in and out of the class and make the teaching strategies and evaluation mechanism of individual reading that this thesis puts forward maneuverable.
