After analyzing the former studies , such as: Creative Reading, Inquiry Reading, Reading with Emotion etc., this thesis puts forward a standpoint-Individual Reading in senior Chinese teaching.Based on the reading theories on reading in some western countries, for example: Accepting Reading , Blank Theory , Construction and Formation Doctrine etc., This thesis expounds reading, senior Chinese language reading and Individual Reading. This thesis studies the differences between the current textbooks and the former textbooks and the characters of Senior High School students at the same time. This thesis , aiming at the present situation in senior Chinese teaching that the students' activity and individual character are not fully developed, points out that it is necessary and possible to carry out Individual Reading in senior Chinese language teaching.According to my personal experiences in teaching, this thesis clarifies how to carry out the Individual Reading in senior high school. It focuses on three aspects : the subject of reading(students), the conductor of reading(teacher),the object of reading(reading materials).It is expected that this thesis will be of some benefit to the teaching of senior Chinese language reading and will enrich the theories on the teaching of Chinese language reading as well.
