In the 21st century, as Quality Education becomes more and more important, we should help the students to improve their creative ability and their scientific qualities. Since 2005, Jiangsu Province has been the experimental zone of the new curriculum reform. After three years of practice, we' ve got some experiences. Through the research of the current situation, we have found that there was an obvious gap between the traditional Experimental Biology Teaching and the requirements of the New Curriculum. The former emphasizes to teach the students some knowledge and skills, but it ignores the improvement of the scientific methods and the scientific spirit and attitude of exploring the truth. According to the experiments in our school, we found that we could solve this gap by setting up an effective Experimental Teaching Model. We could help the students to improve their abilities of operating, designing and exploring in the experiments. This paper combines the abroad Experimental Biology Teaching Reform to discuss the trends and prospect of this reform. It also makes some further consideration that Experimental Teaching should focus on quality education, exam-oriented education and ability cultivation to found a new Teaching Model, so that we could use this modal to make the Experimental Teaching of senior high more specific, systematic and operational, and eventually put Experimental Biology Teaching on the track of Quality Education.
