The teaching reform of the United States more embodied western thought and experience, and make opportunity to integrate into their own traditions, formed its own characteristics and advantages, be of great importance to the world. The 21st century, the biology teaching in secondary school about the teaching philosophy,the teaching methods and so on have some changes in China and the United States. So, a comparative study about biology teaching of secondary school in china and the united states is suitable time and is also necessary. This paper is divided into five sections.The first part of the paper is the preface,mainly introduced biology teaching status and development trends on the current international,in particular, in the United States,and combined with our country's current reality of biology teaching,expond the meaning and purpose of the study simply.The chapter II of the paper, from the theory of modern teaching to analyse the theoretical basis for the teaching biology, including the theory of constructivism, the meaningful learning theory and the theory of multiple intelligences. So as to explore the guiding significance to the biology teaching practice and the curriculum reform by teaching theory.The chapter III , in accordance with the history of the development, the teaching aim, the content system, the teaching strategies, the teaching methods, the experimental teaching,the teaching evaluation and so on ,to make comparative study, detailed analysis of the differences and characteristics about the biology teaching of secondary school in the two countries.The chapter IV of the paper to explore the supporting role and guiding role to our country's biology teaching by the advanced philosophy of biology teaching and the successful teaching experience in the United States.The chapter V is the end of the paper, through the full range of comparative study about secondary school biology teaching in the two countries, combined the reform of the biology curriculum reality in our country, put forward a number of consider and some suggestions.
