Study On Construction Of Military Faculty In Universities In Jiangxi Province

Defense education in universities is an important component of the national defense education,it is a long-term strategically measure to strengthen national defense reserve force and cultivate new socialists who are ideal,moral,cultural and with discipline.In order to have the work of defense education well-done,we must train a military faculty which have higher academic level and teaching ability,and also adapt to the requirement of national defense education.Situation of the military faculty will have a direct bearing on the quality of defense education in universities,and related to the students' and even whole the public' concept and awareness of national defense,it is strategically significant to China's further security and development.Military faculty in universities of Jiangxi province is the object of my research.I studied the status of military faculty in universities of Jiang xi province by means of questionnaires,individual interviews and access to relevant information.Based on that I found there are some issues such as the irrational structure,lackness of basic profession quality,poor research ability,less chance to continued education,serious shortage of reserve forces training and lower job satisfaction in the military faculty.In order to know the reasons for these problems I analyzed the military faculty from three angles like macro-policy,university management and teachers' self-attribution.After that I raised some relevant measures as the optimized structure of military faculty,strengthening teachers' training and cultivation of reserve forces.
