Competition in the 21st century ultimately depends on talent, and education play a key role in the competition for talented people. Educating a bulk of students with innovation is an impending tusk. This duty falls on the normal colleges. With the development of our society, new requirements on the teacher education arise. To meet the need of modern teaching activity, normal colleges should educate normal students having strong ability of teaching practice.The teaching is a profession of needing strong practicality. In practice, teacher education has some drawbacks such as emphasizing academics but looking down on utility, emphasizing theory but looking down on practicality, the learned out of the used. On the one hand, students learn in order to practice; on the other hand, they can't apply what they learned. Investigation in recent years is carried out on normal students graduated from teacher's colleges. The results show that they encounter many problems. The main problem is not that they don't catch the content, but they don't know how to make their students understand. In terms of job-related skill, the normal students not only lack of hands-on awareness and capability, but ability of putting forward problems and resolving problems. The problem weakness of ability of teaching practice existing in normal students must be solved urgently. In normal college, the unreasoning setting of curriculums relating to education and the ignorance of practice leaded to the weakness of ability of teaching practice.This research focuses on the issue of cultivation of ability of teaching practice of normal students, namely, how to efficiently develop the ability of teaching practice of normal students. Definitely speaking, this research aids to tackle the problems as follows.1. Which kind of shortages exists in respect to ability of teaching practice in normal colleges of our country? 2. What kind of patterns should be constructed to develop the ability of teaching practice? Based on the related study of predecessors, this paper discusses the connotation of ability of teaching practice and its composition as well as the process of its formation and development. This research also put forward some concepts on the reformation about the cultivation of ability of teaching practice.We should reform the cultivation of ability of teaching practice. We should reform the unreasoning setting of curriculums and the system of practice, make full use of kinds of resources, promote the development of the students, continue to spread the model of Replacement Teaching Practice and improve the model of developing the ability of teaching practice in order that we can promote the development of ability of teaching practice of the normal students.
