The reform of the basic education requires the normal students to be more capable. Normal colleges training students'practical ability, not only establishes a better foundation of teaching profession in the future for the normal students, but also affects the effectiveness of basic education reform. The new Undergraduate Normal College as a part of normal college, takes training future teachers as an important task on its shoulders. Therefore, the reform of the basic education should be followed actively to enhance the training of practical ability of the normal students.Some questions are focused on in this essay. They are as follow:Which aspects are the key points of new normal College students should focus on to train the students'practical ability; how to establish this kind of ability; what is the current situation of it, what kinds of problems we have during this process and what kinds of methods should be taken to achieve it.The article is divided into five parts.First chapter is an introduction which includes the proposal of the problem and the significance of the research, definition of the relevant concepts and introduction of the idea of the study and research methods.Second chapter is to introduce the content of teaching practical ability. It includes teaching ability, practical ability, the core definition of teaching practical ability, and the meaning of vital concepts.Third chapter states the formation and development of the normal students' practicing ability and the importance of improving the teaching practical ability of normal students.Chapterâ…£is the survey and analysis of the current situation of practical ability of the Students in the new Normal School. There are four parts. First, it describes the design of this current situation. Second, it analyses the result of the survey. Third, it focuses on the summarization of some relevant issues. Fourth, it concerns the affective factors which affect it.Chapter V instances some strategies of the normal students whom are trained by the normal colleges. Due to the problems which were mentioned above, three strategies are proposed. They are newly adjustment of curriculum system, enhancing students'teaching skills; enlarging the teaching methods to achieve the diversification; strengthening the practice sessions of the Normal University and perfecting the system of guaranteeing the teaching quality.
