Investigation And Analysis On Internet-Dependent Phenomenon For Graduate Students

With the coming of Information Era, network has more and more profound influence on people's life. More and more universities and colleges students become use network and computer for their studies. As the most active element in the Information age, they have become to the main force in all the net users. On one hand, they are enjoying the freedom of the Cyberspace, get more messages and knowledges. On the other hand, a lot of professional college students including some post graduations get addicted to internet.This article takes the post graduation students of Southwest University as the samples, and uses the methods of questionnaire survey and experts investigation to make an investigation on the current internet use and the phenomenon of Internet-Dependent. This article is written for the purpose of investigating the current internet using situation, discussing the factors causing of post graduated Internet-Dependent., finding out the differences between the students of different Sexual, different subjects and different grades in Internet-Dependent problem and the attempt to seek for the solutions to the phenomenon of Internet-Dependent.200 questionnaires were sent out and 193 available questionnaires were retrieved, including 95 males and 98 females. The questionnaire includes the primary questionnaire and Young's " Internet Addiction Test".The findings indicated:I.Among the Postgraduate in Southwest university, approximately 21.9% students have Internet behavior dependence problem.â…¡.There have no remarkable distinct in the sex and subject on the Internet-Dependence problem. The grade 2 students'degree of Internet-Dependence is much higher than grade 1 and grade 3.â…¢.The main purpose of using network are read online news and used search engines for information. The students who like playing online games, chating online and watching videos always much easer get the problem of Internet behavior dependence problem.To sum up the above arguments, some countermeasure is advised, such as taking Group Counseling for Internet-Dependent post graduate students, improving existing postgraduate training and system, making the internet environment better. Making joint efforts to promote medium literacy education among postgraduates.
