Adolescent period is a vital stage in the development of physical and mental health. The health condition of adolescents does not only count for the growth and well-being of individual life, but also matters for the entire nation. Ever since 1980s China has conducted four surveys on the physical health condition of the nation's youth, the results of which reveal that during the last 20 years, the health condition of the youth in China has continuously declined. Experts present the physical condition of the youth as "stupid, soft, and hard". "Stupid" means incoordination of different parts of body resulted from long-term inactivity;"soft" means the softness of muscle, while "hard" means the hardness of the body joints. The youths are the hope and future of the motherland, therefore if no measures to be taken to enhance the physical health of young students, the competitive ability of the youth will be weakened compared with European and American youth which will hence affect the development of China, and "powerful country powerful youth" will be a fantasy that can never come true.Physical exercise being an active process of the individual can not only discipline the behavior of people effectively, but also promote the individual's psychological development. If schools can adhere to the belief of "health first, and lifetime sports" in physical education persistently, make sure that every student can participate in physical training actively, and help them to improve their physical health and develop a lifelong exercise habit, then a great fortune and vitality will be brought to the country, and therefore a solid foundation will be laid in the rejuvenation of our nation.This paper takes 20 students aging from 13 to 17 as the researching objects. Through a 12-week short-term physical training and follow-up survey of 20 students, and strictly following "Student Health Standard", this research makes a test of body shape, body function and quality. In test six indicators are measured which are height, weight, vital capacity, grip strength, step test, the standing jump and the rating scale. The data after these measurements are compared and analyzed on the purpose of finding a way to improve the physical training of young Students. The experimental results reveal that experimental group members do not show differences in grip strength index; however, there are obvious differences in height, weight, standing jump, and vital capacity weight index.
