This study takes the path of school physical education to improve the physical health literacy of adolescent students in Henan Province as the research object,The research randomly selected 39 PE teachers and 900 young students from six urban and rural junior high schools in Xinxiang City,Xuchang City,and Nanyang City,Henan Province.The purpose is to explore the ways in which school physical education improves the adolescent physical health literacy.By constructing the evaluation system and standards,the investigators analyzed the current situation of the adolescent physical health literacy in Henan Province.Here are the research shows:(1)The adolescent physical health literacy is the ability of young students to obtain and understand physical health information,and to use this information to maintain and promote their health.It is an important part of the comprehensive development of young students' physical and mental health.It can be specifically divided into three parts,including basic knowledge and concept of physical health,physical health lifestyle and behavior,basic skills to maintain and promote physical health.(2)The current situation in Henan Province shows that the levels of the adolescent physical health literacy in the northern,central and southern regions of Henan are similar and different.In general,the basic skills of maintaining and promoting physical health are relatively good.But the overall level in southern Henan is higher than that in central Henan and north Henan.All has the following shortcomings: young students have lack of basic knowledge and concept of physical health;young students have lack of physical health lifestyle and behavior;young students have lack of basic skills for maintaining and promoting physical health.(3)The main factors of school physical education in Henan Province are:(1)the biased values of school physical education,which are embodied in school leaders,teachers of other subjects and physical education teachers;(2)the obstacles to the actual development of school physical education,which are embodied in the inadequate implementation and implementation of sports policies,the lack of school physical education hardware facilities,and the lack of physical education teachers' resources.(4)We can improve the physical health literacy by updating school sports values: innovating the teaching process of physical education;to do a good job of school physical education reform;increase the support of school sports funds;teach the basic knowledge and concept of physical health,and teach the basic skills to promote physical health;perfecting extracurricular sports activities and after-school sports training and competition,enrich the connotation of skills to promote physical health and form a healthy lifestyle and behavior.
