Physics is a basic subject in junior high school,it shoulders the responsibility of further improve the scientific literacy of students, and promote all-round development of students. Project-based Leaming(PBL) provides a new teaching model for the teaching of physics.Modern information technology provides comprehensive and rich learning resources and advanced technical support for PBLThis essay is based on the systematic analysis of the basic concepts of PBL,the related research at home and abroad and the characteristics of junior high school physics, compares the basic process of students to learn and teachers to design, analysis the role of information technology in PBL; in the design of the teachers, from subject design, target design, process design, evaluation design to explore the design of PBL supported by information technology in junior high school, as far as possible consideres the issues from different aspects of the design steps involved.Three learning models are pointed out that are suitable for PBL:WebQuest,subject-based learning website and independent inquiry,and provides detailed proof.The article selects the appropriate content in the physics textbooks for junior high school. Moreover, "Household Appliances and Safety Electricity" is put forward and tested by teaching practices. Finally it comes to the conclusion:selecting the appropriate theme can deepen the students'understanding of the physical knowledge, it can not only solve the existing problems, but also improve the quality of students.
