Teacher quality is the main factor of affecting the quality of education. In recent years, with the emphasis on the education increasingly, many countries began to accelerate the reform of teacher education. Britain has a long history of teacher education reform experience. Since the 20th century, the British teacher education experienced a series of changes, leading to the present pattern of teacher education. As British main training courses of cultivating school teachers at present, there must be a number of areas worthy of study and reference in PGCE curriculum.This paper began with Introductory part, and this part presented the reason of choosing the topic for my paper, then carried out literature on British PGCE courses both from domestic and foreign and illustrates the core concepts, ideas and methods. The body is divided into four parts. The first part is the British PGCE Course social background that PGCE course is a continuous teacher-training courses, which has always existed in the history of teacher education institutions in the United Kingdom. As the teacher professionalization movement, the public demands for teacher education reform and the British ruling party's political line and other factors make the current formation of PGCE courses. The second part describes the PGCE course qualified teachers standards as the goal, the structure is divided into two parts horizontally and vertically, what three module course are and how to implement, and how to evaluate course content and the methods. The third part discusses the experience and problems of the UK PGCE curriculum. The fourth part anal sizes PGCE curriculum trends then discusses the reference for Reform of China normal teacher education.
