Investigation Of Current Situation Of Common Basketball Team Of Colleges And Universities In Hebei Province And Countermeasures For Development

In China, there's a very active basketball team in colleges and universities. Some are top basketball teams taking the mission cultivating and delivering talents for the nation; some are common teams representing their colleges or universities to participate in major games.The previous is made up by athletic specialists most of whom are professional athletes or retired professional athletes. Such top basketball team mainly targets at CUBA, University Students Super League Matches and other national basketball games, paving the road for Chinese professional basketball league matches, hunting and delivering talents. There have been innumerous documentations and works about this kind of basketball team. However, there're also some low level basketball teams in colleges and universities, mainly comprising of non-athletic specialist students. Just for they doesn't play as well as the previous, few research has been done on them for long time. However, since it is the most common athletic force in colleges and universities and gets close with common students as being an important part of campus basketball culture, there's profound significance to investigate their characteristics and status.This paper takes common basketball team of colleges and universities in Hebei province as the investigation object and discuss about the 32 common men and women basketball teams (i.e. the common basketball team of colleges and universities defined in this paper) in the first division league of the 15th University Games of the province by means of documentation, interview, investigation and statistics by investigating and analyzing facilities, team members, coaches, championship engagement, training, organization and management as well as other issues in detail. The author learned their current situation and troubles encountered, then figure out factors restricting their further development and improvement, i. e. team creation for material gains, the team's demonstration and education function being disregarded, mis-presenting the relation of training and teaching, non-creative training approach and training quality, no connection between different level championships. On this basis, the author specifically proposes to re-determine the role of common basketball, establish a training system for different level, helping training with teaching and combining competition and sports, addressing the conflict between study and training and teaching and training. The author also comes up with cultivation of basketball culture atmosphere in the campus, consolidation of basketball foundation and more inter-university competition and communication activities.
