Though there have been rich studies focusing on the work values of the college students in Mainland China, scarce research with quantitative approach has not been geared to the group of students from Hong Kong and Macau in the Universities for Overseas Students. This thesis, taking psychological approach to the study of the work values structure of the graduates from HK and Macau, investigates the dimensions of the work values and analyzes the effect of the variables of census.Research approaches in the thesis incorporate collection and analysis of literature, depth interview, open questionnaire and etc. Data which are gathered by the questionnaire designed on the basis of relevant studies are analyzed through the statistical methods like project analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, multivariate analysis to data analysis, etc; the theoretical model are thus constructed. The research conclusions are as follows:First, the internal structure of the work values of the students from HK and Macau includes five comparatively independent dimensions, i.e.:working environment, social status, income security, life style and personality elements.Second, through the analysis of reliability and validity, it shows that the questionnaire has favorable split-half reliability, homogeneity reliability, content validity and construct validity, which accord with the demands of psychometrics.Third, the demographic variables except districts, grades, or whether from single family have significant effect on dimension of work value.
