A Study On The Learning Style Of Hong Kong And Macau Students In Mainland

Learning style is the consistent way with the personality characteristics of learners, learning strategies and learning tendencies combined. This paper studied the structure of the learning style of Hong Kong and Macao students on the Mainland and found what affected Hong Kong and Macao students learning style are the following four main factors: learning strategy, out-class environment, motivation and learning environment. In addition, this study also had a corresponding analysis of the population variables found in different grades, major, interest and found the four factors were not significantly different, but the male subjects affected by the learning environment was significantly larger than the female subjects. Finally, we made a number of recommendations for future research, and facilitate follow-up researchers continue to explore the field.This study has a total of four phases: the first phase through the literature available, interviews, we got a preliminary understanding of the Hong Kong and Macao students learning style structure.The second stage is the preparation of the Hong Kong and Macao Students learning style questionnaire, and we made two exploratory factor analysis to the results of the questionnaire, and ultimately come to the subject with 18 official questionnaire, and studied the structure model. The result shows what the impact the Hong Kong and Macao students learning style are the following four main factors: learning strategy, out-class environment, motivation and learning environment.The third phase made a confirmatory factor analysis to the learning style model by structural equation modeling technology and certified the four factors model is the ideal model.In phaseâ…£we use single-factor analysis of variance test and the T-test to research the effect of demographic variables on Hong Kong and Macao Students learning style structure. At last, a proper teaching style was suggested.
