| Nowadays, the growing problems of high school students' elopement have become a social problem which can not be ignored, and has aroused extensive attention from all sections of society. For the healthy growth of students, therefore, it is necessary to explore the factors affecting students'elopement and to prevent and intervent doing so. Undoubtedly, there are so many factors leading students to elope, but the family, as the first organization of an individual is the individual's direct society and cradle, and it has quite a profound impact on students. The present study researches the relevant factors weather family has impacts on students'elopement. Through this study, 1,143 students in 12 high schools and primary schools have been surveyed. Such schools distributed in six counties and cities such as Changsha City, Hengyang City, Shaoyang City, Dongkou County, Shaodong County and Longhui County. A conclusion has been drawn as following:1) the incidents of both students'desire and carrying out of elopement are very high, reaching respectively 31.7% and 6.1%. Students'desire and carrying out of elopement vary significantly due to their own different factors. Significant factors affecting students'desire of elopement mainly include self-achievement, award-winning, psycho-education, psychological stress and motivation of study. Significant factors affecting students'carrying out of elopement mainly rest with gender, psychological pressure, capacity of self-control, the ideal and motivation of study.2) Students'desire and carrying out of elopement vary significantly due to different family factors. Significant family factors affecting students'desire of elopement mainly include family relations, family location and family education. Significant family factors affecting students'carrying out of elopement mainly rest with family relations and family education. Among the listed family factors, family relations and family education have significant impact on young students'desire of suicide and carrying out of non-fatal suicidal behavior.This study briefly researched on the basis of interpretation of the result not only into family factors affecting students'desire and carrying out of elopement in interim, erarchical and covariant aspects, but also into the relativity between family and students'own factors.Lastly, for the main issue identified in the study, suggestions are given for preventing students'desire and carrying out of elopement:To build harmonious family relations; complete educational functions of the family and establish mechanism of interventing students' elopement. |
