Xiang Xiang is a large county in central Hunan province, which is implemented based on long-term private school, and the college-based feudal traditional education. During the late Qing in particular Sino-Japanese War, Xiangxiang people driven by a strong sense of social responsibility and patriotism, were the first to set up modern education, to lead the new wave of modern educational reform. The next half a century, Xiangxiang tightly grasped the torrent of the times, seized the opportunity, to form a good school atmosphere in the whole society, which made Xiangxiang the inland county's education achieve outstanding achievements. So Modern education started late, but within the rapid development of the late Qing period (1895-1949 years) education, its distinctive characteristics performed well in the province and remarkable even throughout the country. Among them, primary and secondary education has been in a leading position in the province, Vocational education and adult education are also no lack of remarkable Department, owing to emerging a group of enthusiastic school educators with heroic deeds. A group of distinctive features of the elite and teachers are famous in and out of the province. The advanced educational philosophy and experience still have great influence even today as well as the role of incentives. The rise of modern Hunan's army, the spread of education, saving ideas, promotion of government officials, Concerted efforts of people's enthusiasm about school contributed to the brilliant cause of modern education of Xiangxiang. But there were the twists and turns of modern education during its difficult times, including the unbalancement of educational development such as the differences between Primary and secondary education, vocational education and adult education, Public schools and private schools. Differences between brother-like schools obviously existed. The number of schools and school quality problems were well solved. The case was that both the advancement and the backwardness went on, besides, the level of overall development stayed behind. Political instability, Social unrest, Economic gloom and some other factors were fundamental to hinder the development of education in Xiangxiang. Xiangxiangers, the elite groups, well-known inside and outside the province, the pioneers of the development of modern education, leader of the Dongshan Jing She, Dongshan advanced primary school-the cradle of generals, poets, scholars, Well-known educator, Taokan School refounded by Zhouzhong Luo known for its xuexing education and high quality, and Xiang Xiang Private Complete School chunyuanzhongxue established by Jiang Xian Zeng who sold his house for education were all remarkable groups. They trained a large number of talented people in all vocations, and had a significant impact. Their educational philosophy, school spirit activities of educational practice were fully performed. Education in Xiangxiang occupies a considerable position in Hunan province. Its Achievements and shortcomings better reflected the overall view of education in the same period in Hunan province which was kind of typical and representative. Therefore, it has some universal significance to analysis education of Xiangxiang. According to the relative analysis and comparison about the achievements and shortcomings of Xiangxiang Education Research in the period from the late qing dynasty to the republic of china and Xiangxiang Contemporary Education, it Further reveals that the aim of Xiangxiang education in the period from the late qing dynasty to the republic of china is providing historical reference and spiritual support for the reform of Xiangxiang contemporary educational and the promotion of quality-oriented educationeducation.
