It is particularly important to draw lessons from historical experience,as the research on children's literature education from the perspective of education is still in the exploratory stage.Based on the classification of the development clues of modern children's literature education,the development can be divided into five stages:from the early independent stage to the preliminary development stage,from the radical development stage after the May Fourth Movement to the reflection stage and then the in-depth stage.During the five-stage development history,Chinese Educational Review,as the most influential education magazine in modern Chinese,focuses always on the development of children's literature education,and faithfully records the forty-year development history of children's literature education.For this reason,based on the development of Chinese Educational Review,the objective of this research is to gain the historical materials about status and roles,educational value,curriculums,teaching materials,teaching methods,teachers,writer groups,publishing,and publicity of children's literature education.In addition,from the perspective of activity of education history and based on the analysis of the historical data,the research orientation of the moving down of academic vision and microcosmic aspects is established,to explore the historical route of the development of modern children's literature education.Furthermore,it has created a wider research space for expanding children's literature education.The research contents are thus formed as follows:The first part is introduction,which refers to the reasons of the selected topic,significance,and solutions to the key problems,and outlines the basic framework of children's literature education based on the data of Chinese Educational Review,by the analysis of the current research status,induction of theoretical basis,definition of core concepts,innovation and reflection on insufficiency.Through the historical review on the Chinese Educational Review during the periodical running process,the paper analyzes the status and function of Chinese Educational Review as a typical epitome of children's literature education development in the Chinese modern education history.As the historical resources of non-governmental records,the magazine has promoted the in-depth development of children's literature education in school education.Meanwhile,observation has been conducted on the historical development routes of both the magazine and the children's education theory of modern China.Moreover,the paper has systemized the spread of relevant education thoughts,from the Japanese modern education thought and European and American progressivism children education view.Furthermore,the paper has presented a detailed introduction of the children views of modern China,as well as the promotion of various courses,teaching materials and teaching methods.On this basis,the paper discusses the education value of children's literature,thus becoming the basic theory pattern for the entire research.In Chinese Educational Review,there is relatively centralized discussion about the course,teaching materials,teaching methods and teaching staff relating to children's literature.First,the paper analyzes the children's literature course standard mentioned in the Chinese Educational Review.Moreover,the policy orientation of children's literature education has been mastered from administrative departments of education,followed by the analysis on the phased implementation and disputes of children's literature course.Furthermore,based on the Chinese Educational Review,the paper presents the presenting the points of focus on children's literature education courses from governments and the public.Second,in the 1920s and 1930s,children's literature has gradually become the mainstream of Chinese textbooks in primary schools,thus arousing a lot of arguments in this aspect.As a main journal in the Commercial Press,the Chinese Educational Review records the five arguing processes on children literary textbooks based on historical data.A careful survey on the viewpoints will provide inspiration for the proportion problem in the contemporary children literary textbooks.From the early years of the Republic of China,the May 4th movement,to the state-oriented period,teaching method of children's literature has shown different development characteristics.Besides,through a large number of new teaching experiments,Chinese people have explored and looked for the teaching methods of children's literature that are appropriate for the modern education development,thereby promoting the in-depth development of children's literature concept in China.At last,the paper discusses the issue of improving the teaching qualification of children's literature education,with specific measures including strengthening the teachers'training,formulating the salary standard and preferential treatment,and improving teaching environment and teachers' accomplishment.Case study is presented based on the theory.A case study of the educational novel,titled Ni Huanzhi.which is serialized in Chinese Educational Review is introduced to analyze the correlation between primary school teachers and children's literature education.The paper presents the analysis on the first golden stage of children's literature education in Chinese Educational Review.Moreover,it discusses the controversy on"new" and "old" children's literature education,its gradual development,and noumenal problems.Then,it comes to the conclusion that,education media and children's literature education have formed an interactive relationship,which brings out the best in each other and promotes mutual development.
