In term of the external factors, there are mainly the social recognition, the policy and laws and the government's supervision and control. Therefore, we should actively learn from the U.S. private universities successful experiences, and to actively find effective countermeasures of the running-risk for our private universities and colleges by strengthening the construction of campus culture, improving the external environment such as transforming the traditional ideas, implementing policies and laws, and strengthening the government's supervision and control, etc. All these provide constructive suggestions for survival and sustainable development of our private universities and colleges.
