In the past 20 years, there are many psychological works on depression, but self-efficacy, social support and depressed students research are still exploring. Depression is an experience of sad emotion caused by individual behaviors. Depression has seriously affected the students learning, living and social interpersonal relationships and so on. This article is analyzing the compare of the differences of self-efficacy and social support from the PE major and other majors, depressed and non-depressed collage students; analyzing the relations among depression, self-efficacy and social support; and analyzing various kinds of natural factors against depression. It makes little contribution to the theory of collage students metal health education and the maturity and systematic of practice.Used the questionnaire method,570 university students from Hunan Normal University in the major of Physical Education and other non-sports ones were selected for a random survey, in which 507 students correspond with the survey.With basic descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, variance analysis, and factor analysis, the conclusions have been reached. Meanwhile, according to related psychological and physical education theory, it has built a system of intervention to prevent depression for the students. The summary is as below:(A)Correlation analysis and regression analysis showed that college student's self-efficacy, social support is negatively correlated with depression. However, self-efficacy and social support were positively correlated.(B)Analysis of variance showed that collage student's self-efficacy and social support were significantly different in PE major and other majors, depressed and non-depressed ones. And depressed college student's self-efficacy and social support scores were generally lower than non-depressed ones.(C)It is found that the depression lever is bound up with natural factors, such as:gender and cities where the student from, differently.(D)Factor analysis shows that:"Year", "education mother", "rearing" and "monthly family income" are associated with depression markedly.At the end of article it has put forward the strategies on how to improve the student's self-efficacy, social support and prevention of depression, and proposed future research outlook.
