The Research On Sima Guang's Family Education Ideology

Family education has a long history in China. As a politician and historian, Sima Guang has gained great achievements in family education field. His works about family education such as Wen Gong Jia Fan, Xun Jian Shi Kang, Sima Shi Shu Yi and Jie Zi Sun Wen have greatly developed the ancient Chinese family education ideology; at the same time, the educational ideas which he has initiated such as"filial piety education","honesty education","courtesy education","positive education","frugality education"and"leaving descendants with virtue"have offered great reference value for the family education reform of China today.Based on the explanation of the key words like"family"and"family education", this text is trying to explain Sima Guang's family education ideology from the following several aspects: firstly, this text analyzes the social background under which Sima Guang's family education ideology came into being. Secondly, it makes a simple analysis of the philosophical framework affecting Sima Guang's family education ideology.
