The 2+1 Project of P.E. and Art is carried out by national Ministry of Education Office, requiring that every student in the nine-year compulsory education should master two sport skills and one art speciality as the foundation of the future comprehensive development. As for Ping-pong, there are some problems in the project: the singularity of test indicators, the inappropriateness of test indicators'selection, irrationality of test indicators'progressiveness, the obscurity of test requirements and methods, the weak system of test indicators, etc. Therefore, it is of great practical importance to innovatively develop a new Ping-pong Skill Level Evaluation Standards ( hereafter refered to as the Evaluation Standards) and test methods.With the background of the 2+1 Project of P.E. and Art and the research object of the 2+1 Project of P.E. and Art Experimentation Ping-pong Skill Evaluation Standards, the new Evaluation Standards analyzes worldwide information related to the 2+1 Project of P.E. and Art , carrys out surveys in experts and students, tests the current 2+1 Project of P.E. and Art Experimentation Ping-pong Skill Evaluation Standards again and again, and finally , through the employment of literature methods, survey methods, educational measurements, logical analysis, etc., develops a new evaluation standards consisting of five levels of A, B, C, D, E. Level A is the highest skill level, and equals to the national secondary athletic level; Level B the second highest level, and so on. Level E is the lowest level and equals beginners of three months'pratice.New Evaluation Standards will abolish the grade and age line, and establish a progressive evaluation model associating selective and compulsory items, which sets the comprehensive score as the standard and offsets the insufficiency of the current standard. Firstly, experts will judge the indicators in the Evaluation Standards as a whole, and the indicators approved by more than 75% of experts will be selected. The students who will take part in the research are divided into groups according to their ping-pong sport age. In the process, the students compete in matches and the experts give one of the five levels to the students according to their performance in the match. After the experts give the levels, the basic skill of students in the same level will be tested according to the Evaluation Standards and the results help to decide the specifications of each indicators. Afterwards, experts will examine and edit the calculated evaluation. Finally, the evaluation will be applied and tested in a certain range, and finish its last edit according the application result and the feedback of experts.And then,the Evaluation standards is established according to the application statistics, and the testing modality is also established, which encourages primary and middle-school student to voluntarily participate, sets free selection testing level, combines selective and compulsory items and associates qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation. The succedent experiment shows that Evaluation Standards and its testing modality work well. The Evaluation which helps students to master necessary sport skills for lifetime sport is popular with primary and middle-school students and is of great theoretic sense and practical value to promote the 2+1 Project of P.E. and Art.
