Happiness has been always pursuit by people for thousands of years. Nowadays, research regarding the issue of happiness has raised increasingly concern from different area including philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, etc. Especially, the research based on happiness and education becomes the new thought and direction in education area. As the development of a new round reform of basic education, fundamental arts education becomes a main method of representing the quality education. Also its special effect on forming, protecting and developing children's happiness has attracted a lot of attention.There is no difference between adults and children in pursuing happiness. However, based on children's development in body and mind, its happiness has a unique feature compared with adults'one which is more complicated. Generally speaking, adults'happiness mainly comes from self-fulfillment which is represented by social identification and approval. It more depends on social factors. However, children's happiness is more focused on individual's inner feelings, joyfulness, satisfaction, security, sense of belonging, etc. Involving with little social factors, it becomes more nature and pure. Nevertheless, children who are on the process of growing up belong to part of the society, and thus they inevitably require social concern and approval. We should observe children's feature in arts teaching and education, maximizing their happiness.The feeling of happiness comes from the ability of obtaining it. Whoever has the ability of obtaining happiness, has the ability of feeling, creating, enjoying and sharing it. It matches with quality education which advocate the concept of development in all round way, including comprehensive ability in different parts, like physically, psychologically, etc. As an important activity in developing people's comprehensive ability in quality education, fundamental arts education has unique and significant effect on training children's active feeling, developing their potential ability, enhancing their aesthetic value, fulfilling their character, stimulating creative their thinking, etc. However, arts education which is the most effective way of developing children's happiness is lead to a wrong direction by many ideas of utilitarianism education in the real society. As a result, children are lack of happiness in certain degree.This essay tries to dialectically analyze the relationship between children's happiness and fundamental arts teaching and education, providing certain theoretical reference for arts education which is lack of focus on children's happiness.The whole article is divided into five parts:â… . Introduction. This study covers the origin, the meaning and the local as well as international state of research on the topic of child happyness and art education. Also about the research methods.â…¡.Organizing and identification of relevant concepts. It briefly illustrates the development of happiness and feeling of happiness by researching relevant article and referring the research results from other scholars. Based on the feeling of happiness, I define the concept of children's happiness.â…¢.Analyzing the relationship between fundamental arts teaching and education and children's feeling of happiness. I also bring up the concept of the final goal of education is happiness and prove it. I also put emphasis on analyzing arts education which is important in fundamental education. It has the unique effect on promoting children's full development and developing children's active feeling. I also present the relationship between arts education and obtaining ability and feeling of happiness for children.â…£.The current situation and analysis of fundamental children's arts teaching and education. As examples of some primary schools and arts training centers in Guilin City, by the method of survey, interviews, practice and research, I have analyzed and summarized the current problems in fundamental children's arts teaching and education, attempting to find out obstacles in finding children's happiness.â…¤.Suggestions for maintaining fundamental arts teaching and educational and developing children's feeling of happiness. Based on their relationship, I have given suggestion on bringing arts education back to children's life, absorbing the education concept, experiencing of advanced countries and using different standard of assessing, based on the specific problems of arts education on developing children's feeling of happiness in reality.
