The Investigation Of Different Undergraduate's Attitude Of Homosexuality From Medical And Comprehensive Universities

Objective: to learn the different recognition and attitude of homosexuality between two universities in the city of Qiqihar in order to provide materials for sexual health education in universities as well as background materials. Through it, we can gain harmonious surroundings in universities.Methods: the survey does a research in five aspects (there are right identity, affective identity, scientific cognition and the subject's incline to homosexuality) through stratified random sampling among 1000 students from different majors between the Qiqihar University and Qiqihar Medical University. The survey makes an analysis on the date through analysis software SPSS13.0. Results: there are 543 questionnaires available to find: (1) there is a difference between the two universities in recognition and attitude of homosexuality, but as a comprehensive university, Qiqihar University a more open attitude in this issue.(2) heterosexual undergraduate's attitude is also different, female undergraduates more easily accept homosexuality than male students. Discussion: presently, homosexuality is still discriminated, so the related workers in universities should improve the propaganda of common sense among university students so as to build up a healthy concept, a scientific cognition to gain harmonious surroundings. Meanwhile, for people's attitudes to homosexuality is different due to different local culture and economic condition. So the university should take right, reasonable measure to settle the unstable factors to promote harmonious university.
