Study On The Influencing Factors Of Female Residents' Attitudes Toward Homosexuality In China

Homosexuality has gradually become a hot topic of public debate and an important subject of sociological exploration. Existing researches have proposed that there were different attitudes to homosexuality among the public, especially women are more open than men. So in the contemporary, what factors do influence the attitudes of women towards homosexuality? If there are some differences between the attitude to which factors whether influence women on treating homosexual and the attitude influence public or some other groups. These problems are worth discussing. This research intends to use CGSS2013 survey data, and mainly use descriptive statistics method, Logistic Ordered regression model and other methods to analyze the above problems, trying to find out the main factors that affect the attitude of female residents in our country and explain the main factors.The study found that the older women residents are the more conservative their attitudes; women who married are more conservative than those unmarried in treating homosexuality;the better economic condition in areas is the more open of female's attitude towards homosexuality;the higher education level is the more open of female's attitude towards homosexuality, especially the female college degree and above;the element,income has a U-shaped among our country female residents towards homosexuality. in other words,the attitude towards same-sex sexual behavior was negatively correlated. Reaching a certain income,with the increasing of the income the attitude tends to open. Women who use Internet have a more open attitude than those who don't use.In addition,the results of the study showed that the consciousness of female subject and their sexual attitudes have an effect on their attitudes towards homosexuality among female residents in our country.It also can say that women who have strongly consciousness of female subject are more open towards homosexuality and that the moreopen sexual attitudes of women,the more open they treat homosexuality. To a certain extent,it affirmed applicability that Liberal Feminism and Feminist Care Ethics analyze the female residents' attitudes towards homosexuality in our country. And it also discusses the factors that affect the attitude of female residents in our country,such as family role consciousness, female consciousness, the traditional sense of attachment, consciousness of equality in work, housework consciousness of equality, premarital sexual behavior identity and extramarital sex identity.
