Contemporary Interpretation Of Binary Relations Of Individual-Society

The relationship between the individual and society was not only a meta-problem, but also a basic issue of sociology. The antagonism and evolution between the two provided a unique perspective to sociological research and enriched the content of sociological research, which also promoted the sociology of development. But in modern times, the binary paradigm stalemate situation hindered the research and development of sociology because of inherent defects of individual and social binary pattern and the background of the globalization of contemporary society and the modernity of penetration. Meanwhile, the contemporary society was well differentiated, and the heterogeneity was increasing constantly. Besides, people more and more demanded for autonomy and the community. But the society also strengthened the norm and monitor to people. So the tension between individual and society was expanding continuously, the individual nature was suppressed increasingly.Faced with this problem, the author analyzed the classical theories of sociology and draw a conclusion that we shouldn't not be too pessimistic into a binary confrontation, also not be too optimistic on the opposition. We should base on status, combine with the modern contemporary society characteristics, eliminate the embarrassment of their dualism.Only handle the relationship flexibly, make the two are in a stable condition can we ensure social stability, progress and all-round development of people.The individual and society of Sociology had ontology in the philosophy. In the article, author discussed the background of the philosophical dualism on individual and social and Western belief systems in the introduction, briefly introduced the research at home and abroad and the purpose and significance. The first chapter introduced the basic issues of sociology; this paper compared two kinds of sociological perspectives and their position in sociology, and then explained the need for its study. The second chapter discussed the evolution process of the relation on individual and social from the traditional period, comprehensive and diverse period, and then concluded that the relationship between them had the connection with their background. Therefore, the third chapter analyzed the contemporary background of the spreading of globalization, modernity permeating into modern society, in which the tension between individual and society have gradually expanded to produce a state of tension, and the pattern of binary have not suited to the characteristics of contemporary global society, so it was imperative to crack the binary opposition. So, the fourth chapter provided a solution to the feasibility of dual channel, which advocated the integration, but also detached binary plight, digested binary opposition, besides there were some localized sociological theories. Of course, these theories owned reasonable places, but in reality there were more clever ways to resolve binary, so the chapter five discussed the resolution of binary opposition using the Free State.On this basis, further discussed the social realistic significance from integrating or digesting binary relations. In short, people must correctly treat and deal with the dual problem to promote social harmony, stability and all-round development.
