Against the indoctrination was one of the most influential wave of education in the Western education in the20th century. General consensus in the Western educational theories and practice is against the indoctrination. In contrast, the attitude towards indoctrination includes supporting, opposing or neutral. Against indoctrination does not really become teachers’ educational faith. There is a great deal of controversy about basic issues, such as what is indoctrination and inculcation is reasonable or not. This paper is based on the inculcation of moral education in schools for the study, analyze the crux of the the inculcation,which is contrary to guidance, and instill in digestion, put forward my own views about how to eliminate. The text is divided into four parts.Part Ⅰ:Crux and digestion of indoctrination in schools as a research object, mainly because (1)the predicament of moral education in schools, is indoctrination is the main cause of inefficiency of moral education in schools, and (2) existing related studies do not reveal the crux of moral education’s indoctrination in school. On this basis, the following two aspects have been combed relevant studies:one was to instill attitudes of related research; second is about the characteristics of current school moral education’s indoctrination, and indoctrination could result in hazards, and the solutions to indoctrination.Part Ⅱ:indoctrination of school moral education and its performances. First defining the connotation of moral education’s indoctrination in schools. Then on the basis of teaching’s3stages:the preparation phase, implementation phase, and the moral education teaching effect, analyze the5performances of indoctrination in school moral education: curing preset instructional design, dieing of teaching content, stylized teaching process, unequal relationship between teachers and students, knowledge-based teaching effect.Part Ⅲ:the crux of indoctrination is contrary to guidance. Clarify the concept of guidance. And then demonstrate the reasons which the crux of indoctrination violates the guidance. On the one hand, analysis the reasons which in the course of moral education, admitting students who are not mature, paying attention to students’ability of self-construction, is an important and supporting condition for the students’moral development and formation. On the other hand, the crux of moral education’s indoctrination is contrary to guidance. Because the guidance admitting students who are not mature, not ignoring students’ability of self-construction. Indoctrination deconstructs the supporting condition of students’moral development and formation, which is precisely what happens against the guiding mechanism.Part IV:digest the indoctrination and return to guidance. Digestion of indoctrination and returning to guidance is the meaning in moral education in schools, so we should adopt flexible teaching design, make the teaching content close to the student life, use flexibility of teaching process, establish a democratic and equal relationship between teachers and students, use varied teaching methods. Through these five aspects are to digest the indoctrination and return to guidance.
