With the deepening and development of the reformation of Chinese courses, the development and utilization of the curriculum resources is gradually becoming an important part of the reformation. Chinese Course Standards in the Recommendations of Implementation emphasize that Chinese teachers should attach great importance to the development and utilization of the curriculum resources, creatively hold a variety of activities, strengthen the students awareness of learning and using Chinese in different situations, and improve students'Chinese proficiency, which is not only an updated concept of Chinese courses, but also a necessity of modern Chinese teaching.Nowadays, films, televisions and Internet have become important parts in our daily life, and also become an important resource for students in extracurricular study. In Chinese teaching, teachers are now paying more attention to the utilization of these resources. Making the best use of video resources is of great significance to improve the quality of teaching, and form good personalities of students.This assay contains four parts discussing the applications of the film resources in high school language teaching. In the first part, it mainly talks about the necessity and feasibility of the integration of the film and television resource and language teaching. The section begins with the description of the characteristic of visual arts and film. Then it talks about the necessity and feasibility of the integration of the resource and the language teaching. Based on the basic concept of the new curriculum standards, the direction of the language teaching under the curriculum reform, the current status of Chinese study for high school students ,as well as the acceptance of the film and television resources, it discusses the necessity of the integration of the movie resource and language teaching in senior high school. The relationship between the movie resource and the language teaching and the role it played in the language teaching determines the integration is feasible. The second part mainly talks about the principles and the strategies of the integration. The principles of the integration are holistic principle, scientific principle and inspired principle. From the following five aspects, the strategies are illustrated: the use of video resource to improve teaching objectives, the use of video resource to breakthrough language teaching difficulties, the use of video resources to develop language proficiency, the use of video resources to build new language teaching mode, as well as the use of the video resource to establish the movie-related information bases. The third section discusses the problems and the solutions of the use of the current film and television resource in language teaching in senior high school. The fourth part discusses the concrete action of the integration of thefilm resources and the language teaching by some case studies.
