When toddlers are learning language rapidly, scientific and reasonable early reading stimulates positively. There are masses of questioning and response events in early reading,which will affect infants'language development. In Shanghai,mostly is it grandparents and parents undertake the family education to their toddlers.Thus figuring out the regular patterns of these two generations when asking and responding with their toddlers,also analyzing the positive and negative factors can help to improve the qualities of early reading,and further promote toddlers'language learning.Chosen in the nursery of J Area of Shanghai,the research takes 40 toddlers aged two or two and a half with their families as the study objects. Divided them into two groups;one were 20 toddlers and their parents,the other were 20 toddlers and their grandparents. By the methods of questionnaire,research design,observation,tape recording,and interview, we got a variety of data in infants'early reading circumstances.This article is basic on analyzing and inducing of the asking and responding behaviors comparatively between grandparents and parents with their toddlers.Thus,with the conclusion below, there are five on the asking contrast:1) Grandparents ask less than parents; 2) Grandparents mostly carry on simple repetitive questions,while parents mostly on illuminated repetitive questions; 3) Grandparents prefer to cognitive questions, while parents prefer to comprehensive questions; 4) Grandparents hardly ask creatively while 2% of parents'questions were creative; 5) Both of them have many selective questions.There are 80% grandparents and 30% parents waiting for their toddlers'replies.Also, there are five on the contrast responding as follows:1) Grandparents are more implicit than parents when they express approve feelings; 2) Grandparents are more definite than patents when they express negative feelings; 3) Only parents will have further behaviors to reply their toddlers; 4) Parents reply frequently than grandparents and their replying extended more; 5) The rate that grandparents didn't reply is two times than parents.According to the asking and responding features of grandparents and parents,on the basics of the differences and effect facts,the study tries to present the early reading situation clearly and gives some suggestion to grandparents and parents. Therefore,the author would like to give some advice to grandparents,that is:1)more sense of scientific education,less cling to old ideas; 2) repeat more illuminated questions than simple ones; 3) don't stingy definite praise,but control direct criticize;4) pick literary words consciously, more than colloquial words. Meanwhile,there are some suggestions for parents, that is:1) communicate education perspectives usually with your own parents; 2) ask more creatively; 3) pay more attention to activating the language environment.
