The stage of new teachers is a necessary step for every teacher's professional development; it is also an important period of teachers' professional development. So, new geography teachers have to undergo this painful and decisive stage. Recalling my own growth experience, although understanding some theories about the growth of new teachers, but the theory lets people have a kind of fuzzy feeling and do not know how to do specifically. Well then, how to tide over this key period of the growth of new teachers?I had a chance to use two years to experience the life of new teachers, during this time, many things gave me deep impression. In order to make more new teachers gain some gnosis from my growth stories, I used the narrative research method, it is one of qualitative research methods, qualitative research is good at describing the nature and significance of the phenomenon in natural situations and it can form detailed materials. Because of its close link with the human experience, narrative research provides a new way for education research. Because of it paying close attention to own experience of teachers, narrative research provides an appropriate research method for teachers'professional development, it allow readers to be "self participations" and have some gnosis through the stories, and communicate and talk with the "hero" in the context of stories.The professional life of new geography teacher can not live without geography teaching practice, their professional development should be based on geography teaching practice. Teaching practice is not only the starting point promoting the new teachers'professional development, but also the decisive factor new teachers' professional development, including the internal requirements and conditions of teachers, active knowledge and choice. Teaching practice is the rallying point of the internal and external factors acting on the teachers'development, it is also the direct and practical force promoting teachers'professional development. In this study, it is started from the geography teaching practice, datum of this research originated from story text by my actual geography classroom teaching experience, I am a researcher in the study and also a narrator.This study emphasized on a theoretical level to card and reflect my stories, according to structure of professional quality, I divided my stories from three dimensions and vividly described a great deal of events about the development of my professional attitude, professional knowledge and professional skills, The all stories is trying to show actual teaching life of a new geography teacher and be analyzed and reflected from the level of theory and be summarized some advice about professional development of new geography teacher, the professional development of new geography teachers based on the teaching practice should be paid attention to three aspects:1.Establishing a firm professional attitude 2. Cultivating the capacity of active teaching practice 3.Growing in reflection and practice.
