University students are valuable national human resources, the main and also new force for the building of a well-off society in an all-round way as well as the realization of the Socialist modernization, and also the core force for the building of a harmonious socialist society. Their employment status and career development situation after graduation will directly affect China's socialist construction. Based on the current employment situation and the analysis of the trend of Chinese university graduates, this thesis reveals the difficulties of finding jobs for university graduates and comprehensively assesses the affecting factors of all respects for university graduates' employment by the analysis and statement of the reasons from the point of government, universities and colleges, society and graduates themselves. After all the analysis mentioned above, I think that the employability of university graduates, which is put forward in this thesis, is the main cause of graduates'job hunting.In my point of view, the employability is the skill for university graduates to find satisfactory jobs and adapt to it by adjusting themselves based on the environmental changes, to maintain jobs and further their career development. Also, it is a comprehensive skill to acquire and maintain working ability, and to transmit the received education into working abilities. The employability contains four basic sections such as comprehensive skills, job-hunting skills, adaptability and development skills, which includes some peculiar small sections respectively based on its content and extension. To some extent, the employability can be regarded as specialty, adaptability, management skills, communication skills, teamwork skills, professional ethics, lifelong learning capacity and skills for continuous development and so on. The statement and cultivation of employability are helpful to correct the mismatch between markets and higher education, and to reflect as well as rebuild Chinese professional higher education and its career instruction system.In the third section, I have analyzed the current situation and its causes for graduates'low job-hunting ability, and I think the main reason can be attributed to three defects in the administration system from the government to the universities, in the educational and management system from the universities to students and also in the employment ability of students. From them I feel that the university plays a most important role in the current educational system, therefore, starting from the reform of university management system can effectively enhance graduates'employability. To achieve this, university should improve the cultivation of students'physical and psychological personality as well as the basic employability educationally, and focus on the improvement of educational services and career services systems managementally.In the forth section I continue the discussion of the detail ways of the reform. In the aspects of improving the cultivation of students'physical and psychological personality as well as the basic employability, I have analyzed some frequent psychologically personal defects during the course of job-hunting and come up with some correct measures accordingly. Meanwhile, I also provide some ways to enhance students'basic employability such as learning skills, interpersonal skills, adaptability, innovative skills, and skills for setting up business,. anti-frustration skills and practical skills. For the reform of educational services and career services systems, I think the main task for universities is to establish an educational services and career services system facing the market and the enhancement of employability. The cultivation of graduates' comprehensive skills should be paid attention to and through the reform and founding of five stage curriculum system we are expected to realize the controlled development of personalities. In the reform of career services, university is expected to cultivate graduates with high employment competitiveness. In this course, we can establish a basic career service system of our own which emphasize the cultivation during the introductive period, the improving period and the practical period. Based on the three periods, we can divide the implementation of career instruction system into six steps and help the graduates to have a correct view on jobs and eventually realize the goal of enhancing employability by instructing job-hunting techniques and policies.
