GC Students' Overall Quality Evaluation Research By Performance Management

With a trend that College-Students Overall Quality Evaluation becomes a focus of graduates'job-hunting, most of Chinese colleges emphasize cultivation of students'overall qualities and with no any doubt, overall qualities have become the key content of education. Henceforth, how to evaluate students'overall qualities has been a hot topic for specialists; however, this evaluation still has some problems after a long time though. Especially in the Independent Colleges compared with famous colleges, the evaluation takes more weight, because it is the important factor for graduates'job-hunting. Hence, the purpose of Performance Management improves graduates'competition in job-hunting according to long-term schedule, particularly among the inferior colleges.Based on GC's overall quality evaluation system, this article will employ Performance Management theory, analyzing the present problems in GC's system and putting forward reasonable improvement. If the evaluation do offer helps to students'development, the author suggests that application of Performance Management theory and completion of overall quality evaluation make sense. This process contains four periods such as plan, management, evaluation and feedback, among which the author pinpoints periods of plan and feedback. The complete plan can assure application of the whole system. In Plan period, the innovation lies in respective indexes with different characters of majors. On the other hand, Feedback period must be effective with comprehensive feedback mechanism. In the author's eye-view, this design can be practical.The significance of the research can complete and fresh GC students'overall quality evaluation system, afford GC one thought of design and reference to overall quality evaluation system and make it applicable. Finally, the author hopes that this research can offer one construction model for those colleges similar to GC College so as to enhance students'overall qualities indeed.
