A Social Research On Surrogates Of Chinese City

Surrogacy,as one of artifieial assistantre production techniques, refers to borrow another female'uterus to born one's own baby beeause of the wife'deficiency in natural pregnaney. The clinical application of surrogacy is not simply an issue of medicine. Its application has a great influence on human' reproduction means, law and social ethies,leading to a series of legal and ethic problems. There are 230 million couples of reproductive age in China, approximately 10 million households have fertility problems. The infertile couples had to use artificial means of assisted reproduction to have children. Under this social background,researching this phenomenon from the sociological angle has a great academic and realistic meaning.This paper is divided into 3 parts.The first part is a brief introduction about the current situation of pregnant.The second part makes a deep analysis on the factors that affect pregnancy, combined with social stratification theory, gender theory, family functioning theory and Coleman's theory of rational choice to explore this social phenomenon to exist. In the last part, the conclusion sum up the whole essay and propose some measures which to reduce the negative effects of surrogating and benefit of mankind.
