It's a consensus of Chinese schools that it's hard to conduct education and to be a teacher. On the one hand, the development of social economy results in unprecedented material prosperity. On the other hand, the inner part of mind is of emptiness and loneliness. High pressure of work, low satisfaction, sub-healthy state and job burnout are prevailing among campus and educators'minds.Teaching is a high pressure job. The pressure of a principal is much higher than normal teachers'. Principals should follow the leading of administrative department of education while take the responsibility of education management, teaching and student education. The purpose of this study was to investigate job pressure and job satisfaction among principals and provide advice for the present problems in education.On the base of literature review, this study explored 375 principals' current professional conditions using questionnaires. The results showed that:1. Job pressure of principals is high, among which the highest pressure is from job load and monitor from parents and society.2. Job satisfaction of principles is high but their satisfaction of salary and chances of promotion is generally low.3. The correlation between job pressure and job satisfaction is not generally significant, which is of great difference from previous research.This paper analyzed the hidden problems of the above mentioned results, provided advice for those problems from the perspective of principals, administrative agencies and society in order to help reduce job pressure of principals.
