The Research On The Status Survey And Strategy Of The Long-distance Running Activity With The Theme Of "Sunshine Sports March Forward With Our Motherland" In The Schools Directly Under Wuxi City

In recent years, the people's living standards have been constantly improving, but the physique and health level of the teenage students in our country is going down year by year, revealed by the surveys on the students'physique and health on the national scale.Spot checks in the schools directly under Wuxi City show that,"the physique and health level of the students in the schools directly under Wuxi City in 2007 is lower than that of the students of the same age in Wuxi City in 2000. Some indexes are even much lower than the average level of the students of the same age in the whole country and in Jangsu Province in 2000, and there is a big gap in terms of endurance index."In order to change the unhealthy situation that the physique and health level of the students is continuously going down, to encourage the students to take active part in physical training, the State Education Commission, the General Administration of Sport of China and the Central Committee of the Communist Yung League formally issued"The Notice About Launching Sunshine Sports Among the Millions of Students in China."In 2007,"The Professional Advisory Council on Sports of the Schools directly under Wuxi City"was established in Wuxi. The objective of the Council is to"fully implement the spirit of the central authorities, improve the students'physique, hold back the declining tendency as quickly as possible, and try to make the student's physique level in the schools directly under Wuxi city in 2011 as high as the national level in 1985."With the comprehensive development of the sunshine sports activities, the State Education Commission, the General Administration of Sport of China and the Central Committee of the Communist Yung League issued the document to start the winter long-distance running activity with the theme of"Sunshine Sports March Forward With Our Motherland".In this paper, by using the methods of documentary, questionnaire survey and statistics , the author carries on the scientific research into the present situation of the long-distance running activities with the theme of"Sunshine Sports March Forward With Our Motherland"in the schools directly under Wuxi city. The research has guiding significance to improve the physique health of the teenagers in Wuxi and even in the whole country.The research shows that the frequency and distance of the winter long-distance running activities in the schools directly under Wuxi City needs further improvement; the number of the students and parents who take the positive attitude accounts for a large proportion; During the terms in which the winter long-distance activity is carried out, the students'height, weight, BMI index, weight-for-height, lung vital capacity, heart rate and endurance ability are remarkably improved, but there is no significant difference in the eyesight, compared to the terms in which the activity isn't carried out.By launching the discussions, the necessity and possibility of carrying out long-distance running events in winter in schools has been established. In the end, the countermeasures to the problems in long-distance running activities in winter are put forward .
