In recent years, the tennis take continuous development in China. In 2004 Olympic Games and the Australian tennis Open in 2006 ,women's Doubles Champions indicates that China's rapid rise of women's tennis, lighting tennis participation of our people's enthusiasm. But, on the whole, Chinese tennis are falling behind the advanced world level in the different areas. Therefore, how compare the tennis similarities and differences between China and the Western tennis developed countries from a number of different areasand find out the favorable factor to development of Chinese tennis, is an important subject at this stage for the many theoretical workers to pay attention and the need for in-depth study.For this reason, the study, using literaturemethod, comparative studies, logical analysis and other research methods, make a comparative study between China and the Western tennis developed countries. Through a deeper level comparative study between their similarities and differences, finding the differences in the tennis-related areas and the influence in order to find disparity, and to suggest appropriate suggestions with a view to further development of the tennis in China to provide a theoretical reference.On the need of the study, this issue will fix the scope of comparison in the material fields, spiritual fields and system fields, examining respectively from the traditional culture, geography, ethnic differences, training system, competition system, tennis population , club management and tennis consumptiones and so on, drawing the following conclusions:1. Compared to the world's advanced tennis, Chinese tennis in many areas still fall behind and catch-up phase.2. Chinese tennis has a larger gap than Western countries in the field of material and equipment manufacturing.3. Tennis is a product of western culture and westerneres have a natural adaptation and transmission when their participation in tennis. Chinese traditional culture, to some extent, affect the ideas of Chinese tennis development, tennis competition and training philosophy, technical and tactical style.4. The exchange process between China and the West tennis is the tennis cultural collision and fusion process between Chinese and western Tennis culture, so the world of tennis has been constantly developed and innovated.5. Ethnic differences make that the Chinese athletes was significantly weaker than the areas of Europe and the United States athletes in explosive power, physical strength and so on, it maybe one of constraint factores in today's level of China.6. The differences among the field of China and the West tennis system make the system be out of line with the international tennis system.
