With the advent of knowledge-based economy , postgraduates education is developed at top speed .As an important constituent group of our higher education,the number of postgraduates in school is gradually larger and larger and they are facing more and more pressure .From the external angle,they are confronted with the pressures from the country,society,school,family and other;and from the angle of themselves,they are confronted with the pressures from employment,studies,economy,human relations,marriage and love affairs and so on. However,educators haven't yet attached enough importance to the pressures,especially the psychological pressures that postgraduates are bearing. As is known to all,the psychological pressure directly or indirectly affects the psychological quality of postgraduates .If the psychological pressure is overweight,but not handled timely,postgraduates'psychological health will be affected,which will further lead to mental problems and even committing suicide. At present,the psychological situation of postgraduates is worrying,because there appears not only psychological problems but also more and more cases such as dropping out of school and committing suicide .The psychological situation brings about grave harm and heavy burden to their own learning life,hinders themselves from growing up healthily and meanwhile brings grave effect to the country,school ,family and others .Therefore,on the basis of synthesizing the research home and abroad,the thesis with the psychological pressure and coping as the theoretical basis, with Master's thesis as writing way,with postgraduates as object of study,with psychological pressure as the research theme,with theoretical analysis documentary study and interview as writing methods,studies the pressures that postgraduates at college suffer from the external world and themselves .Especially the thesis studies the pressure source from the aspects of employment pressure,study pressure,economy pressure,marriage and love pressure, and human communication pressure and then makes detailed expoundings in the chosen pressure points from every pressure .Moreover,on the basis of coping theory,in view of the existing pressure which postgraduates are faced with this thesis brings forward systematic pressure-managing tactics and effective approaches for reducing the pressure from the perspectives of society,school and personal support .The purpose is for managing and teaching postgraduates at college and for providing a effective scheme for themselves to solve their psychological pressure.This thesis is mainly composed of four parts .Chapter I is an introduction,which mainly concerns about research background of postgraduates'psychological pressures,current situation of home and abroad as well as the significance and innovation of the study .Chapterâ…¡is psychological pressure and pressure source theory,which mainly explains the of the pressure concept,pressure theories and models,psychological pressure,the concept of the pressure source,theoretical basis as well as some factors why postgraduates'pressures occur .This chapter is the theoretical basis of the thesis,playingthe role of theoretical support .Chapterâ…¢is about the sources of postgraduates'pressures .It carries out a detailed introduction to postgraduates'pressures and an overall systematic analytical research on the pressures suffered by postgraduates from five perspectives including employment pressure,study pressure,economypressur,marriage and lovepressure,and humancommunication pressure. This part is not only the main body of the thesis but also the innovation of this thesis .Chapterâ…£concerns about the managing tactics for postgraduates'psychological pressure .It mainly Introduces the concept of managing tactics,the pressure-coping,theorysystem theory and the validity of administration .It then puts forward the concrete feasible methods or means of relieving pressures from the country,society,family,school and themselves.On the basis of theoretical research,the author collects lots of materials and data and carries out specialized study on postgraduates'psychological pressure,which theoretically supplements the deficiency of such research and provides the theory basis and method countermeasure in order to make our colleges and universities pay much attention to the situation of postgraduates'psychological pressure,take precautions against the occurrence and infestation of the psychological problem and psychological disease and develop the intervention mechanism of psychological crisis .At the same time,this study is helpful for our college educational workers to objectively face the situation of postgraduates'psychology,change traditional ideas and teaching styles and implement effective psychological guidance .For postgraduates,it is also helpful for them to attain an overall understanding of pressure and coping theory,various sources of psychological pressure as well as the effective methods to resolve their own psychological pressure,thus finally perfecting their psychological quality and achieving a healthy all-round development physically and mentally .
