The open class teaching has a long history as a form of teaching and research. With the development of new education reform, an endless stream of new educational concepts emerges incessantly, and teachers demand for open class teaching imminently. Now days, the open class teaching shows an exceptionally prosperous development. Along with the new curriculum reform's development, the country elementary education pays more and more attention to the open class's functions of teaching and researching. The open class teaching becomes to be an important instructional mode which can promote the teaching method, as well as improve teachers'professional knowledge. As a form of classroom teaching, the open class teaching has its own value and culture, in a sense it has also become the teachers'spiritual wealth. Regardless of praises or censures to it, it's all due to the complex connections between teachers and the open class teaching. The open class teaching is subtly influencing the teachers, and it is helpful for them to improve their teaching capacity. Therefore, we need to learn from the cultural science angle the open class teaching system, the material, as well as the teachers'spiritual life in this research.This paper synthetically uses the research methods of culturology, questionnaire survey, interview and the observation method during the research. The research method of culturology is the main research technique. The author participates in the teaching and obtained the first-hand information through interviews with teachers in order to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the research. The questionnaire mainly contains questions such as the basic situation of the open class teaching, the teachers'attitude towards the open class teaching and so on. These questions combine with the interview method to reach the conclusion.In order to have a better understanding of the open class teaching, the author participated in the Jilin Province Elementary School Language Teaching Meeting. Combined with the 26 classes, the author interviewed the teachers, audiences and the educational experts on the questions of the open class teaching system, the material and the teachers'main body behaviors in one week and obtained the preliminary conclusion.Through searching the literature, this paper first analyzes the concept of open class teaching and culture. Then based on the foundation of the theory construction, the author focuses on the reality of open class teaching and collects many useful materials to analyze the current situation of the open class teaching. Also, on the basic of culture, the author inspects the system, the material, the main body behavior as well as the spiritual cultural aspect of the open class teaching. By learning the phenomenon of an open class teaching conference, this paper analyzes the teachers'main-body behavior and their spiritual culture clearly as well as what condition the open class teaching ought to be. With this research, the author hopes to learn something on the open class culture.
