After-school Class is one of the most important Chinese teaching modes in Korea, according to the author’s survey, in 2014 there are 48 Chinese volunteer teachers teaching at elementary school, among them 71% are teaching in After-school Class. The author did practice teaching at Naju Elementary School for almost one year from Feb.2014 to Jan.2015, using the methods like literature review, questionnaires, interview and demonstrative teaching to study and analyze the Chinese culture teaching in Korean elementary school After-school Class.Demonstrative teaching shows that, compared with the traditional Chinese teaching mode:teaching language and culture at the same time or focus on language teaching and neglect culture teaching, the effect of After-school Class Chinese culture teaching is much better, it is shown in the students pay more attention to Chinese culture learning, be more interested in both Chinese language and Chinese culture, do better at both Chinese language and Chinese culture learning. Thanks to the coming of the Chinese native speaker teacher, the Chinese culture teaching sees its necessity and development. Generally speaking, the student-centered activity class gains a better result; the students are very interested in drawing Peking Opera facial makeup, paper-cutting and Chinese songs learning.This article totally has five chapters; the first chapter introduces the study object, purpose, material and methods. The second chapter describes the naissance and development of the After-school Class. The third chapter says current situation of Chinese culture teaching in After-school Class and also introduces the problems existed which are reflected through the questionnaire. The fourth chapter is the author’s improved demonstrative culture teaching, after that is the conclusion and suggestion. The last paper is the postscript part.
