The Methodological Foundation Of Pedagogy

Pedagogy opened up the road of independence and scientific when Herbart built on the foundation of pedagogy. Although Bacon discussed the possession of pedagogy in science,it grew up under the care of philosophy during the history of pedagogy. We were concern about the field of educational research on the Western world,in the late 19th century .Some papers about the study of educational research on the western world were published on the《Education World》,《Education Magazine》.Pedagogy walked in to the path of"science". The way of pedagogy is from imitative German,the United States and follow the example of The Soviet Union to Chinese edition of pedagogy, in china. Meta-pedagogy (Also known as the pedagogy of the meta-theory) appeared on the research field of pedagogy, by the development of meta-theory in the 20th century. Meta-pedagogy focused on their own problem of pedagogy .For example"The foundation of pedagogy","The nature and structure of the pedagogy theory","the methodology of Educational Research"and so on.In this foundation,this paper is to research the methodological foundation of pedagogy. The whole paper consists of five chapters.Chapter One: Interpretation of the concept and scope of the theory and methodology. This section is the theoretical basis of the whole paper. In order to analysis the foundation of pedagogy ,this paper briefly investigates the conception of methodological foundation and theoretical foundation.Chapter Two:Philosophy is one of the methodological foundations of pedagogy. In this section, the paper demonstrates that pedagogy should learn from the philosophy on the basis of conception. And pedagogy is strongly influenced by the dialectics of philosophy and methodology.Chapter three :Logic is one of the methodological foundations of pedagogy. The main argument of this chapter demonstrates that logic include formal logic, dialectical logic and mathematical logic, is a basically science. And pedagogy used the theory and methodology of logic. On one hand , logic has a methodology characteristic; On the other hand, in order to result the educational problem the educational theory and practice should have logic, and educational research need logical method.Chapter four :sociology is one of the methodological foundations of pedagogy. In this section, in order to prove sociology as one of the essential foundation for pedagogy is necessary and inevitable ,the paper details the relationship between sociology and pedagogy from many different angles. For example, the methodology of social research including qualitative field research and quantitative research influenced the educational research.Finally part: conclusions and reflections. This study is mainly based on the classification of historical documents and the integration of researchers'theory.
