The organizational structure is the core of multi-area college management;it is a realistic need to study the organizational structure of multi-area college for its management.As a new kind of higher education system in china,multi-area college is primarily initiated and coordinated under government administration.They start a positive role on china higher education in the 21 century,for the increased compuses can take in more people to complete education on one hand,and play a bigger part in social,economic and scientific development on the other.However,universities with satellite compuses increase a quite number of problems,especially administrative problems and economic problems.Solving these problems succeedingly will decide whether these universities will develop healthily.Based on the multi-campus situation of Nanchang Institute of Technology,this article analyzes that the organizational structure of Chinese multi-area college has some problems,such as the management level is excessive,the decision-making procedure is not scientific.the work responsibility is not clear, which has affected the availability of the organizational structure of multi-area college.Based on the characteristics of institute,the author presents an analysis of the variables in the design of multi campus universities'organization,basic structure,and coordination mechanism.The author then offers a proposal as to how multi-campus universities should design and optimize their organizational design.it should enhance the flattening management, transform the work function,separate the academic and administrative authority moderately.as well as use the project and network management to optimize the organizational structure of multi-area college further; perfect the college management system and make it to be higher effective.At last, Design ideas of the management information systems of Nanchang Institute of Technology under focused on the flat management and computer network technology is explains, and the specific design process of educational management subsystem as an example is given.
