| The counsellor's specialization is always the general problem that colledges and universities and even the whole society concern about. Especially after the number six central file have been issued, counsellors's specialization has become a hot topic in the field of study of higher education. However, after making a general survey of the present research of it, we can find that though the achievements are rich and the views are virious, it doesn't size up the students'need. I have to say it is absolutely a great pity for us. This text is based on the questionnaire survey of 600 college students from six provincial universities in Zhejiang. It proves that there obviously exists a big gap between the counsellors in real educational life and ideal images in students' eyes. This gap has seriously restricted college counsellors'specialized progress. Compare with the counsellors in real educational life, the ideal counsellors in students'eyes should be regarded as the ultimate goal for the development of the present counsellors. Based on the statistics and analyse of 572 effective questionnaire surveies, this text discusses the cousellors'specialization in students'eyes from five aspects. That is:the high professional spirit, the advanced professional concepts, the full-rich professional knowledge, the polybasic professional ability, and the adequate professional intelligence. Meanwhile, we have schemed out a strategy of the deverlopment of the counsellors'specialization which has obvious characteristics of the times from the students' actual demand.In this strategy, we advocate to strengthen the profession, improve the profession permitting system of counsellors, make a clear division of tasks, clarify the role of professional counsellors, back to the classroom, strengthen the status of a teacher, be self-projecting, stir up the inner strength of the counsellors' specialization,have scientific training, ensure the durable assistance of the counsellors' specialization, etc.
