Study On Time Management Behaviors Of Class Teachers

Class teachers act as the special teachers, who take more responsibilities and more tasks. However, there are still many various unsatisfactory aspects in practical work. These aspects influence the work efficiency of class teachers. Through the study on time management behaviors of class teachers, the work efficiency of them will be promoted and teachers' professional quality will be improved. Meanwhile, class teachers will set an example to the students on time management, so as to lessen their load.This study aims to break down the elements of time management behavior through theoretical study and practical investigation to understand the problems and reasons of time management behaviors of class teachers. In the course of study, I do literature research, which means reviewed and analyzed some relevant literature. I do survey research on four schools by questionnaire and school administrators and teachers by some interviews. I do case study to understand and analyze a class teacher's time management behaviors.In this paper, based on the theory of time management and characteristics of class teachers' work, we discuss the necessity of time management behaviors to class teachers, students and school management. Combined with the surveys and interviews, we summarize the problems of class teachers' time management behaviors.According to the situation of class teachers' time management behaviors, I analyze the reasons in depth from subject and object aspects. From subject aspect, the consciousness, mentality, acknowledge and skill of time management will influence the class teachers' time management behaviors; from object aspect, the characteristics of class teachers' work, school time management behaviors and the situation of trainting of class teachers will influence them. Finally, I put forward several suggestions, such as promote self-directed study of class teachers, improve the school system of gotong-royong, and perfect the safeguard mechanism, so as to improve class teachers' time management behaviors.
