Cooperative learning, widely used in many countries of the world recently, is a creative and effective teaching theory and strategy system. Cooperative learning has shown its great advantages in fostering students interest in learning, teamwork spirit, cooperation awareness and cooperation capacity.The essay, based on the teaching theory of cooperative learning, makes a research of combination of teaching theory and practice according to the nature of the music course and the learning and teaching characteristics of high school music class. The essay proposes and analyzes rationality and superiority of cooperative learning in high school music class and also elaborates on the practice and operation of group cooperative learning in the new high school music curriculum under the guidance of cooperative learning organizational strategies. The essay consists of four parts."Introduction" , as the foreshadowing of entire thesis, it clarifies the origin of this research topic, research status and significance and introduces the idea, methods and structures of this research.The first chapter, "cooperative learning research and development." This chapter applies historical and documental methods to the research on development process of cooperative learning. However, the writer doesn't restrict to recurring of research data while the essay stresses on the analysis and exploration of the original research in order to produce new theoretical achievements.This chapter is divided into three sections: first, the basic idea of cooperative learning; second, the theoretical basis of cooperative learning; third, implemental strategies of cooperative learning.The second chapter " research on the theory of cooperative learning in high school music class." In this chapter, the writer analyses the necessity, feasibility and advantages of cooperative learning in high school music class, combining with the propsals for teaching and learning by the new issued curriculum standards.The third chapter, " the practice of cooperative learning in high school music appreciation teaching". In this chapter, based on these theories, the writer puts forward the implemental strategies of cooperative learning which is appropriate for the music teaching. On this basis, according to the author's teaching practice and research, high school music appreciation teaching should carry out group teaching method based on cooperative learning strategies, combining the students'self-orgnizing groups with the teacher's coordination. In the practical teaching, adhere to the group principle of "heterogeneity in groups, homogeneity between groups", we can select different organizational sequences of group cooperative learning according to different learning contents with "Combined Horseshoe Shape" as the form of class teaching: organizational sequence of the same learning task; organizational sequence of the different learning tasks; organizational sequence of exploring the same topic. Teachers must change their traditional teaching roles into planner, coordinator, participant to organize and design the classroom teaching situation so that we can create teacher-student interaction and students interactive learning environment.
